    Use Dimmer to Control Plug

I would like to use a Caseta wall switch to control a Caseta plug module. Seems like a very simple matter of programming and a pretty basic function, but I can't find a way to do it in the app. Am I missing something?

The Caseta wall switch controls the attached load only. You can not assign another load (like the plug module) to the switch or separate the front control from the attached load.

You would need a Pico to control the plug module.

That's too bad. That seems like an obvious way to add more lights to a switch without rewiring. It's sort of the point of the Pico remote to add more ways to existing lighting setup without rewiring and would be nice if we could do a similar thing with adding more lights to control with the same switch.

The Pico can control multiple devices. HomeWorks is able to tract the status of other device and respond. Caseta was designed for retail distribution so ti does not have this feature.

Hello, Caseta will not allow you to use a Caseta Control to turn on other devices like how a pico behaves. Now one alternative solution is to use Apple HomeKit and create an Automation for "An Accessory is Controlled" and select the Caseta Control that will be the Trigger. After you selected the device which HomeKit will be monitoring, you can select other HomeKit Devices and have them change states.

This is kind of a messy way to do it, but it is a way to make the desired outcome work.

    Hope this helps!
