    PD-5WS-DV-WH vs PD-6ANS-WH

    Hello all,

Just curious as to if Lutron still makes the non neutral caseta switch and if not why they stopped, I noticed that a few websites still have these but they are a bit more expensive than the new model.

    Thanks

Lutron should still make them. PD-5WS-DV is a derivative of a commercial product that requires no neutral. It is also rated for 120-277V, which is the reason the 5WS-DV is more expensive.

Thanks Mike, do you know if there are any limitations to using the non neutral switch? I am thinking of replacing standard switches for my pantry and possibly my under cabinet lights and didn't know if there were any possible concerns.

The pantry is an LED light "bar" and the undercabinet lights are most likely whatever the builders electrician got cheapest.

using the 5WS-DV without the neutral sometimes gives a "ghosting" on the first fixture or tape light/LED bars that won't entirely turn off. LED readout on the dimmer leaves a microamperage on the circuit to keep the dimmer "alive". Good news is, the 5WS-DV should ship with the LUT-MLC to correct the issue. Just follow the wring diagram.
