LHC+ and HW Illumination
Is there a document that outlines best practices and capabilities regarding the current LHC+ app and how it works with HWI?
1 Remote access tips and tricks
2 Limitations, works with Global Scenes, etc?
3 Settings that should be made in software to best optimize use of the app. Cycle Dim, Double Tap, Etc.
4 Which features work, and don't work, compared to HWQS or RA 2?
Thanks,
Phil

the only app note out there is posted on the resi.lutron.com site. It isn't current but it will give you the basics on LHC+. The screenshots in this app note are out of date so take it with a grain of salt.
1 Remote access tips and tricks
Set up a VPN, that's all you've got with HWI.
2 Limitations, works with Global Scenes, etc?
You can only display 40 keypads, and you need to set that up in the HWI software. QS & RA2 do not require this, nor are they limited to 40 keypads.
3 Settings that should be made in software to best optimize use of the app. Cycle Dim, Double Tap, Etc.
Avoid Cycle Dim if you want to use Scene Saver. Scene Saver with the LHC+ app and HWI is a great thing. Cycle Dim will mean you can't use Scene Saver.

Long story short, light zone control and keypad emulation via HWI is possible with the app. You can turn the [roject timeclock on and off with HWI, and that isn't all that handy. QS and RA2 have a lot more features. If you have a dealer acct look for the app note, it will help you understand the differences.
Thanks,
Phil

A correction- The LHC+ app notes HAS been updated- thank you Lutron!
I find it easier to use resi.lutron.com as my source for app notes. The LHC+ app note has been updated at the end of May, but it looks like some of the page navigation instructions are already out-of-date for LHC+ 9.1.0.
Lutron, on my wish list: a 'living document' that would be a powerpoint or web page guiding a client through the app and/or remote access setup. I'm not always able to be in the same room as a client who wants to set up the app, and steering them to a pdf or webpage while talking on the phone is the fastest way for me to get them up and running.
