Surface mount Pico next to X-gang box

I have a 3-gang box that I'd like to add a Pico remote to, creating a 4-switch grouping. If I surface-mount the Pico to the left or right of my 3-gang box will I be able to use a 4-gang wall plate? My question is mainly whether I'll have any issues with switch spacing or depth off the wall which might cause the wall plate to not fit correctly over the four switches.

No problem. Attach the 4gang to the box, with the empty on what ever side you want. If you use the wallbox adaptor, attaché the adaptor and pico prior to installing the plate on the box.
