Putting an outlet where the repeater is best situated is trivial by comparison. Besides, there'd have to be low voltage wire pulled for PoE and that's really not going to be any simpler/easier/cheaper than some Romex.
Speaking as a homeowner who pulled romex and ethernet to the location for the repeater, I'd MUCH rather have just pulled ethernet. I recognize I'm not the primary type of implementer Lutron targets for this solution but still, when retrofitting, just running ethernet would have gotten me done in less than half the time.

Agreed. Im still usually in the attack or crawl adding a couple of switch legs for a job and pulling some LV wire anyway so POE would be awesome.
