LOS-CDT-500R Sensors with Homeworks QS
As I understand it the LOS-CDT-500 sensors have an 8 minute grace period built into the sensors.
If used in conjunction with a keypad in the room this 8 minute period seems to be a bit of an issue.
For example you enter the room the sensor turns the light on, do what ever you need to do and then as you leave the room turn the light off from the keypad.
If someone else enters the room within the 8 minute period then the sensors does not activate and that person assumes the sensors is not functioning.
You can of course turn the light on from the keypad, but it does cause some confusion.
Are there any ways round this other than buy another sensor.

Not sure another sensor will help you. Radio Powr Savr sensors work exactly the same way - with the only difference that it has configurable timeout.

Cheers Veeeh I think a third party sensor might be an option, but I was wondering if Lutron would consider changing the sensors to have a lower setting for the grace period certainly lower than 8 minutes!

I understand why they made it that way. If you turn off the lights but still are in the room, you will be annoyed if they would come up by themselves, right? So it should wait some time to confirm that there is no one in the room.
If it helps you any, Radio Powr Savr has 5m / 15m / 30m settings.

The Radio Powr Savr has also an option to be at 1 minute (see install guide). It is meant mostly for testing purposes, but we have had some jobs where this is the setting they preferred.

What are good third party Sensors to use? Having trouble finding 24v ones that can be powered directly from the keypad +/-

If you use a 3rd party sensor that has no grace period you will either have to make every cci conditional so you don't get chatter or rapid lights on and off
The Radio Powr Savr is great with a 10 yr battery life with direct integration to RF link.
