Lutron PD-6WCL-WH In Wall Dimmer compatibility with outlet

I want to install a Lutron Caseta Wireless in wall dimmer to control an outlet that I have two lamps plugged into. I want to be able to use the app to control the lamps when I am away from home. Will the in wall dimmer be able to control the outlet? Will it be able to dim the lamps? Thanks for your help.

You could do this, but local code probably does not allow for a dimmer to control an outlet. Why not use the plug in module for the lamps, then tie the 120V straight through at the box with a Pico and adaptor in place of the switch? You still have control legally from the wall and control for the phone.
