    HomeWorks Original Integration

We received this question from a customer, and thought others might be interested in this topic...

Is it possible to control loads on an old HomeWorks Original system from a 3rd-party system via RS232? If so, is there an Integration Protocol similar to that of HWQS? I'd like to create my command set prior to visiting site, if possible.

Yes you can use a third party control system to be able to simulate buttons presses and control the independent zones in the Original HomeWorks system. On page 27 of the attached PDF it begins to cover the integration commands for this system.

To enable feedback with this system dip switch 3 needs to be set to the ON position. The dip switches are located in the bottom left hand corner of the processor.

The baud rate of this processor is 9600 and does not have the ability to be changed.
