LOS-CDT with HWQS
We received this question from a customer, and thought others might be interested in this topic...
Is there any way to use an LOS-CDT-500 with Homeworks QS? I know that I can use the "R" model with Homeworks illumination but I see that the models without the "R" are available in the HWQS software.
Thanks in advance!

Yes - you can use the LOS-CDT-XXX sensors in a HWQS system. However, these sensors use a signal wire to indicate occupancy state to the CCI-device, not a dry-contact relay. Therefore, only a QSE-IO CCI or a QSM CCI can accept a connection to the non-relay LOS sensors. The LOS-CDT non-relay sensors cannot be wired to a wired keypad's rear CCI.?
Beginning on page 6 of this document, you will find diagrams showing how to wire various combinations of these sensors to the QSE-IO.
Page 3 of this document shows how to wire this sensor to the QSM.

A LOS-CDT-500 can be used with Homeworks QS. You will need to connect these sensors to a QSE-IO. Refer to http://www.lutron.com/TechnicalDocum...ary/qse-io.pdf page 6 for the wiring diagram to connect the sensor to a QSE-IO.
The sensor will need to be powered using either a Power Pack such as a PP-120H or can be powered on the QS link. If powering on the QS link it will use 2 PDUs.
In the Homeworks QS Designer software you will need to assign the sensor to the inputs of the QSE-IO found in the Equipment section under the Design tab. Once assigned you will be able to program the sensor using the Occupancy section of the Program tab.

UPDATE: Depending on the date code of the wired HWQS keypad, it may be compatible with the non-relay type LOS sensors. Newer HWQS wired keypads have been manufactured to include this functionality. If this feature is desired, we would recommend contacting Technical Support with the keypad in hand to determine if the keypad is compatible with the non-relay type LOS sensors. All wired HWQS keypads are compatible with the relay-type LOS sensors.
