loads not responding

We received this question from a customer, and thought others might be interested in this topic...

I press a button on a keypad and the LED indicates the lights are on but the lights are still off. Any suggestion on what would cause this issue and where to begin troubleshooting it?

Check the light bulbs. They might not work.

Verify the keypad is com to the system by setting up monitoring. This can also verify the keypad is sending the correct command.

If the keypad has been ruled out, then troubleshoot communication from the lighting load back to the system. (dimmer, wpm, rpm, etc) A good start would be to use diagnostics/realtime control to verify that the system can communicate to the loads.
