What does the "Follow Device Location" checkbox do?

In the Radio RA2 Programming tab, next to the "Selected Room" dropdown list there is a checkbox toggle labeled "Follow Device Location". Can someone explain what this setting does? I haven't been able to tell anything when clicking it on and off, nor can I find anything in the documentation.

Well now I feel dumb. For anyone else searching for the question enabling this checkbox defaults to show the dimmers, and other devices, within the same room as the keypad as you are programming. This was obvious to me about 15 seconds after posting my question above. lol
