Transient error transferring?

I'm getting an error when I transfer the programming to the main repeater. However, if I simply repeat the transfer, the error goes away - transfer completes with no errors. See the attached. It seems pretty consistent, happens the first time in any programming/activation/transfer session. The device is an RRD-8ANS and works ok in the system. It controls a pump though that isn't plugged in when transferring. It is probably 30 ft from the repeater and through 2 walls so I'm guessing it's a somewhat marginal location. Still, there are several other devices that are a bit farther with more than 2 walls in between that have never given any trouble. Using Essentials 12.0.1. Anything I should be concerned about? Early signs of failure of the 8ANS?

I had a very similar situation with a particular device. I added an Aux Repeater and transfers have been flawless ever since.

That has been my problem and the same solution numerous times. I always add an extra Aux Repeater in my quotes.

Thanks guys, I'll just live with the problem then. Maybe avoid putting art on the intervening walls :-)
