Looking for a solution to tie in a Craftsman garage door (#54918) with RA2 VCRX controller. Many of the older units used a dry contact and the new ones are all wireless. please help!
The VCRX would connect directly to the door in the same contact CCI as the wired door control. That hub connects wirelessly to the door opener independent of the wired controls (opener button and photo eye/safety controls).
My understanding that the terminals on the opener that are wired to the wall control are giving off 12v constant voltage to supply power to the wall controller and not actually sending a signal.
If it's like every other push button I've run into, it should close the loop when the button is pushed. The VCRX would perform the same function. The push button should just operate as a momentary switch that closes when you push it.
Wondering if this issues was resolved?
May have a similar prob.
Hooked up to the same contacts at the opener as the wall control but when I push the VCR button the power to the
wall control turns off then resets.
Need to fix this Monday.
