In order to determine what dimmer to use, we would need to know the model number of the ballast.
There are two types of ballasts: rapid start and instant start.
If it is rapid start then how it is dimmable is typically very proprietary to the ballast.
If it is instant start, this is not dimmable and you would need to change the ballast, sockets, and lamps.
By having the ballast model number we can determine if it is instant start or rapid start. And if it is rapid start, if we can guarantee compatibility with a Lutron control.
