Upgrading RA2 from older version

I am visiting with a client tomorrow to perform some service work for him and want to update his RA2 system to the current version. I have not been there since April of 2015 when I last updated his firmware (probably 8.1 or 8.2). Does Lutron recommend upgrading his firmware and jumping over the other versions to 9.3? Or is a more gradual version by version upgrade best practice?

If you are only going from 8.1 or 8.2 to 9.3 that is fine since it's not that far of a jump in firmware. If you were updating an older system from say 5.6.6 then we would recommend a gradual update. If you need any help while on site you can always call our Technical Support line at 1-844-588-7661.
