Lutron connect App not seeing server

We are running the iOS version of Lutron Connect App - I can browse the internet from the phone but whenever I try sign into my Lutron Connect App get error - 1) Unable to connect to server or2) Please enable Wifi or cellular data on your device to connect to Lutron Connect System. Does the app need any special network settings to enable it to see the server ?
