Trying to extract an old project from main repeater using essentials

The version of the project on the main repeater is 5.6.6 and when I use the essentials program to extract it I get the me message “The project on this repeater does not support extraction”. I have been able to get the xml info file from the repeater but i do not know of a way to convert that to a project file.Does anybody know how to extract an older project file to avoid having to reprogram the entire project.Any help would be appreciated.Many thanks.

Extraction requires version 6.0 or later.

I don't believe there is a way to convert XML to a RA2 program. You may be able to open the file in a browser or viewer and get some of the details.
